I have over 15 years' experience in medical approval systems and communications, as well as project management, team management, client services, finance, and marketing.
I worked at Zinc Ahead (now Veeva Systems) as Global Customer Support Manager. Following that, I was an Account Handler with Ogilvy Healthworld. Through a series of very fortunate events, I then started JK MedComms Assistance Limited (JKMA), offering a range of services - but mainly referencing - to the healthcare industry, often in partnership with agencies.
I feel very fortunate to work with such a fantastic team of employees and trusted freelancers, and lovely clients every day. I am proud of the excellent work we do, and of our relaxed company culture where we all work remotely.
Outside of work, I'm usually busy with my daughter, or with friends. I love entertaining, as well as reading, music festivals, vegan cooking, and yoga. I also like to travel whenever I get the chance.
I have been working with JK Medcomms Assistance (JKMA) since 2018, and have been privileged to watch it grow. I love the company culture at JKMA. It encourages a work-life balance whilst always delivering excellence.
Like many, I arrived at medcomms through a circuitous route. I have a BSc in Biology from Imperial College and an MSc in Midwifery from UCLAN, as well as a number of years experience working as a clinical midwife.
I enjoy all medical referencing work but I have special interest in data checks and the more editorial side of the work. I like the 'nitty gritty' of finding the correct reference and the satisfaction of improving the accuracy and clarity of a document.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time on my allotment and growing food you might not be able to find in the supermarkets. I also love kayaking on the Thames and swimming in the sea.
I have over 15 years’ experience working as a medical writer. I’ve been working for Jill and the team since 2020 and absolutely love it. I enjoy the work as a reference specialist, which demands great attention to detail and provides many “Aha!” moments. The team are great and we get on very well, and when we are able to meet up, we have huge fun!
I am the Quiz Master at my local pub, and that in itself demands massive attention to detail, to ensure that answers to the questions I write are correct and fully referenced and defendable! I brew my own beer and like to use the local wild hedgerow hops for dry-hopping.
